Ted CadwalladerThis is the latest piece I’ve refinished. I’m not the first one to bring it back as I could see the work done before me as I sanded and reconstructed it. I used guilding wax on parts of the legs to highlight the floral leaf pattern. The inlaid gold wire on top was done for the original piece. I am always so impressed by the original craftsmanship when I work on these. For reference, it’s about a cubic foot. Flinn sells an epoxy product, but I have no idea if it’s any good. Eric WayneI finished this some time ago (a lot of bondo work) but it needed a little something extra. I thought I would give rub n buff a try, used a fancy stencil, and I'm pleased with the outcome. ErstkateI found this chest of drawers on a street with "free" on it, so grabbed it. It had been covered in a thick, ugly khaki / brown solid paint, and the original brown stain under that (you can still see a bit on the top there - will have another go at dissolving it away with ethanol).
