Universal Hub · Wires on Green, switches on Red filled riders with a sense of dreadEarlier today, the MBTA reported delays on the D Line, complete with the dreaded trolleys  standing by at stations, because of overhead power lines at Newton Center suddenly needing emergency repairs. On the Red line, riders had to get on buses to get between Braintree and Quincy Adams due to a switch problem at Braintree that also forced the dreaded standing by at stations, until the T realized, no, was time to roll those buses. The T reports both lines are back to normal.
