#republicanism was born even more recently than #democracy
They are just ideas.
Imperfect people bring them to life.

I’m proud to be an #American, who values the #FirstPrinciples of #republicanism, specifically because there are creepy weirdos out there who find the virtuous ideals of a Republic deeply shameful and threatening.
I am so here for it.
A happy new doctor: Alexandre de Sousa successfully defended his PhD thesis in History on the Congresses of the Portuguese Republican Party yesterday.

We wish Alexandre de Sousa the best of
luck as he defends his PhD thesis in History on the Congresses of the Portuguese Republican Party on Monday 23 June.
It's a good thing that I do the politics from this account.
It would be wrong to mention No Kings Day (a.k.a Bastille Day) from a domain that ends in ".uk".
This *is* the MacNacFeegle node, isn't it?
(-:
The objectives of Creepy Weirdos is to disincentivize the fabric of the Union in the first place.
I’m hopeful that We the People™ of the Republic keep applauding for first-principles of the Constitution.
It’s that or wear gas masks to street actions.
"Bruno Leipold’s Citizen Marx presents a compelling, deeply researched, and elegantly written analysis of Marx’s relationship to republicanism, and it will no doubt become an important point of reference in future discussions about Marx’s thought.Based on fresh, close readings of Marx—including canonical texts such as The Communist Manifesto and Capital, as well as lesser-known articles and notebooks—and discussions of an impressive body of scholarship, Leipold reconstructs the intellectual trajectory that led Marx to articulate a powerful republican communism as the alternative to the despotic power of capital.
In the mid-nineteenth century, to be a “republican” meant fighting for a free and democratic political system based on universal (male) suffrage, in opposition to defenders of absolute monarchy and liberalist defenders of constitutional monarchy. The central political value of republicanism is freedom, understood in a purely negative sense as nondomination, or, the absence of arbitrary power—that is, not just the absence of actual interference, but of the very possibility of interference. Leipold’s core claim is that Marx’s critique of capitalism, as well as his thoughts on revolutionary strategy and the communist future, developed through a sustained dialogue with republican currents.
(...)
In this way, Marx and Engels occupied a unique and powerful position in the radical political landscape of the mid-nineteenth century: a republican communism grounded in an unshakable belief in the proletariat’s capacity for self-emancipation, against both antipolitical communists and anticommunist republicans (and, needless to say, defenders of monarchy)."
REPLACE ALL REPUBLICANS!
REPUBLICANS DO NOT REFLECT THE PRINCIPLES AND VALUES THAT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HOLD DEAR
#REPUBLICANISM IS THE NEW #NAZIM
just listen to the words coming out of their racist, bigoted mouths

If the #American revolution was the first, the #CivilWar its second, and the #CivilRights the third transgenerational founding, We the People™ are overdue a rekindling of #republicanism, the humanities, pro-social #history, and #LessonsLearned.
the stink of #Trump must NEVER leave the #GOP
#Republicans incubated, grew, nurtured, and supported #Trumpism to the point that there is no difference between these concepts
#Republicanism == #Trumpism == #Nazism
WE MUST REPLACE ALL REPUBLICANS ASAP!!
This is a photo taken from a book which contains the typo.
#MichelleWu has a reputation for delivering quality constituent services?!?
Who woulda thunk?
Not me
Pro-top: Bostonian #republicanism was - and has always been - radical in thought, creed and deed.
There’s nothing Gallant about this GOP.
Nor anything particularly emblematic of #republicanism.
They are just Creepy Weirdos.
Apparently, believing in conserving #republicanism makes you a neoconservative now.
“President Trump has made clear that loyalty to the United States must come before personal or partisan agendas, taking decisive action against those who misuse their undeserved influence to deceive the #American public.”
By “United States” he means him, personally, because, the word “Constitution” is nowhere in this Executive Order.
That defeating silence you hear is when We the People stopped collectively clapping for the Sixth Amendment of the United States Constitution, included in the Bill of Rights for the Republic.
