Looking back the most fun I had with oil pastels so far was when painting on a black surface. So I did that again. Also I saw the opportunity for a light pun and painted an oil lamp with oil pastels.

I wanted to keep it raw and moody. So I didnt blend with my fingers at all in order to keep as much of the black grain as possible.

Happy Pride! This one morphed more into just Cardcaptor Sakura rep, but I still love how it came out.

Also, I have news! If you're in Chilliwack, BC on July 13th, I'll be a vendor at the Chilliwack Pride Festival!! The whole Retro Rainbows gang will be there, as 8.5x11 and 4x6 prints!
