Hello dear friends. We are happy to inform our donors and supporters that we have received the funds from our fundraiser. Thank you very much for your generous contributions. We have managed to secure funds to pay for two months. Your continued support truly makes a difference. We still welcome donations to keep our work going. www.paypal.comHelp the Eco Youths Network Uganda pay rent for their training groundsThe Eco Youths Network Uganda (EYNU) is a registered non-governmental organization working for a sustainable way to fight hidden hunger in their community. They aim to teach and empower young people through practical, eco-friendly ways. EYNU’s founder, Pacific, puts all his efforts into driving this mission forward to support the community and spread knowledge as much as he can, while trying to educate himself about new ecological and sustainable methods. To achieve their goals, the EYNU rents land to grow food, train young people, and experiment with eco-friendly farming techniques. They rent half an acre of land and two small additional plots, all from the same landlords. However, rent is quite expensive, since the land is located near Wakiso town which makes it accessible, but not affordable in the long run. The landlords are now asking for four to five months of rent in advance which the EYNU – who are doing all of this without a constant funding source – cannot afford on their own. We are therefore trying to raise the rent for six months (120€ per month) to make them able to continue their very important efforts without the constant stress of financial insecurity. In the longterm, the EYNU Plans to buy land in a more remote village, where they can set up a permanent, affordable and larger training center. Your support would mean a lot to Pacific, the EYNU team, and their entire community!

We’re just €30 away from reaching the amount that will help us to Atleast cover 2 months’ rent for our land 🙏. Huge thanks to everyone who has supported us so far your kindness keeps our work alive! We still welcome any donations until we hit our goal. Together, we can keep empowering youth, fighting hidden hunger, promoting sustainable agriculture, and protecting nature 🌱💚 #YouthEmpowerment #SustainableAgriculture #HiddenHunger #ProtectNature .paypal.com/pools/c/9h7pnSFRpr

Thinking about our relationship with the environment...

Did you know that around 70% of Europeans can no longer see the Milky Way due to light pollution? Western Europe is among the most light-polluted regions in the world. This excess artificial light not only hides the stars but also disrupts wildlife, ecosystems and human health—affecting sleep, hormones, and natural rhythms.

Let’s rethink how we light our nights—for the sake of nature, and ourselves.

Where the Dunes Meet the Sea — Zoutelande’s Living Landscape

Last Sunday, as I stood atop the dunes of Zoutelande, I took in a breathtaking view. Below me, the coastline buzzed with life: grandparents at the water’s edge with their grandchild, a small sailboat drifting peacefully across the sea, and beside me in the dune grass, a woman absorbed in her book — both of us quietly observing the world below.

These dunes are more than just scenic vantage points. In the Netherlands, they are vital to our survival. Formed over centuries by wind and tide, dunes serve as natural coastal defenses, protecting our low-lying country from storm surges and sea-level rise. Their height, structure, and vegetation act as buffers against the power of the North Sea.

They are also vibrant ecosystems. From hardy dune grasses to rare species like sea holly and sand lizards, dunes are full of life adapted to shifting sands and salty air. Their fragile balance reminds us of how deeply interconnected we are with nature.

So the next time you find yourself on a dune, take a moment. Look out, breathe in, and appreciate this living landscape — a place of peace, protection, and resilience.

A moment of camouflage and curiosity 🦅 This young Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) blends perfectly into the tree, showing how #wildlife adapts in natural environments. As one of the great #BirdsOfPrey in the #Accipitridae family, it symbolizes freedom, strength, and balance.
