#PrimaryElections

If you live in the #US, remember that the deadline to register to #vote in your local #PrimaryElections is coming up: it's July 22 here in Florida!

Even if none of the candidates meet your fancy, it's still useful to vote for things like local ballot measures and referendums, and to have your name on the "Active Voter" rolls: politicians and other decision makers actively check these whenever they receive letters or otherwise see someone who wants things, like at a #protest, and you never know when that's going to be important.

Even if you turn in a blank ballot, your vote is still counted!

This upcoming general election is going to have a lot of hard and serious questions, including how we will handle the #constitution, #voting eligibility and counting in the future, and whether we expand the party system or de-democratize. You don't want to sit this one out!

Get registered, vote early, and vote often!

Today (Tuesday) is #PrimaryElections day in my home state of #Illinois.

As usual, by the time the #PresidentialPrimary reaches my state, the choice for each party's #POTUS candidate has already been made.☹️

But remember that there's a lot more on the ballot than just the White House. We've seen the effect that local elections have on national events, and how choosing the right candidates down-ballot can be key to honest and secure #elections, protecting #WomensRights and #LGBTQrights, fighting for the #environment, stopping #BookBans, funding better #education for everyone, and so much more.

Google to find out more about your local candidates. Take an extra minute to make an extra impact.

The weather is supposed to be fairly nice tomorrow across most of the state. Get out and #VOTE like your life and basic human rights depended on it...

Because this year, they DO.

From Aron Rupar's hellsite feed, this ridiculous Jake Tapper interview with Ron DeSantis. Tapper asks Desantis about Elon's recent antisemitic tweets. Ron claims he doesn't know a thing about it. Who, me?

How many times lately have we seen candidates feign ignorance about major issues in the news, under widespread public debate, to avoid answering uncomfortable questions? It's fundamentally cowardly and dishonest.

In preparation for a campaign speech by Donald Trump in Fort Dodge, Iowa, this man summoned great courage to perform his Yoda impersonation and say:

**THE DARK SIDE IS STRONG IN BIDEN**
**AND THE FORCE IS STRONG IN TRUMP!**

My weird quota for the day complete, I will forgo listening to old Residents records or rewatching Jodorowsky's *El Topo*.😱
