I actually loved this movie. It's nothing like what I thought it would be and actually a very beautiful film. I'm not completely sure I understand though. I think I need to read more about it. If it's just kindness and polarity then it seems simple, but I wouldn't be surprised if I'm missing a lot, maybe too subtle even for me.

Latest read I just finished Pride and Prejudice. Oh it was so good 🔥. I had watched the BBC miniseries about 20 years ago , and remembered the basics. I absolutely fell in love with the text though and the characters of Elizabeth, Mr. Darcy and Mrs and Mr. Bennet. I have a lot of thoughts on this story.

Now, I’m trying to write a kind of story inspired by this and other Austen stuff but for a trans girl as the FMC lead. Will I ever finish? 😅

It's been 20 years since the release of "Pride & Prejudice" movie! I finally watched the movie in its entirety.

I remembered I didn't like this movie much when it was made available on Netflix. I gave it up probably 10 min into the movie and even left a thumbdown.

I guess it mostly comes down to the fact that Colin Firth’s portrayal of Mr. Darcy is truly unmatched. Also I was expecting more glamorous costumes and ballroom scenes. 🤷 I was shallow. 😀

“My dearest sister, now be serious. I want to talk very seriously. Let me know every thing that I am to know, without delay. Will you tell me how long you have loved him?”
“It has been coming on so gradually, that I hardly know when it began. But I believe I must date it from my first seeing his beautiful grounds at Pemberley.”
Another entreaty that she would be serious, however....

Always wondered about this, since it seems to be mostly true.
