I could shill this game all day if I wasn't sick.
I love this game, it's a great experience both as a 1on1 PvP, a 2vE and a 1vE game. If you ever wanted to get into Ashes, this is the best time to do it!

My other big complaint is how little you the player actually get to *do*. In a 9+ hour game I maybe rolled the dice 5-7 times total. I make almost no strategic choices.
It's a choose your own adventure story with a layer of admin on top, heavy randomness & close to 0 personal agency.
Even gaining equipment & followers rarely gives you more choices.
As a group you choose paths sometimes & take on roles in battles but you must mostly choose selfishly.
Getting ready to try Freelancers (Plaid Hat Games).
Similar to Forgotten Waters which our group mostly enjoys.
