One from the vaults. It was my partner's birthday (seems to happen every year) and I didn't want to give him a card, but something much more labour intensive and not quite as good - so voilà. Nothing says you are the love of my life and my best friend more than a butchered early renaissance masterpiece! And they say romance is dead, crazy right?! ✨
(It's supposed to be bad on purpose, I promise!😂)

This photo is a badly done digital manipulation of Sandro Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus." The faces of the figures in the painting have been replaced with photographs of mine and my partner's. His smiling head is on Venus' body in the centre. He is bald and white. Mine are of the winds to the left and one of the graces on the right. My faces are all contorted into the ugliest ones I can make.

Superimposition Collage: Murder of Owl, 2022

Note: I create #superimpositioncollage using an out-of-date image manipulation program called Picassa (anyone remember Picassa?). I superimpose images from my drive one over the other using a rather limited tool in Picassa, and tweek them at my aesthetic whim. Whim is important in art, no? The things Picassa can't do are as important if not more important than what it can do to creating the composite image. Also, today is the Day of Superb Owl. I understand there is a sports ball game played this evening, but since it does not involve owls I leave to it those who enjoy that sort of thing.
