@digyoursoul I went to a protest this weekend in my area of , attended by well over 300 people. That this many people showed up in the South Jersey burbs at lunchtime on a Saturday tells you something is truly percolating.

@TonyStark @mastodonmigration 💯 to all of this. I do not regret ditching my WaPo sub a couple of months ago. Not. One. Bit. (I put the money saved toward monthly donations to Biden — now Harris — and other Dems because fck WaPo.)

In the meantime I’ve cobbled together other indie sources from which to get news, plus the , of course. I’m still somewhat pissed at NPR, but at least they did a better job of calling that racist MFer out: npr.org/2024/07/31/nx-s1-50590

My hometown, nonprofit-owned Inky once again hits it out of the park.

As a resident, I cancelled several weeks ago because of its failure to hold local government accountable and its bothsidesing on the election. I am now cancelling my subscription of 3+ decades. My news sources now: The @propublica@threads.net, Mundo, and several excellent newsletters (Heather Cox Richardson, Joyce Vance and Judd Legum) and now, thanks to this thread,
