A picture of a d10 with a story. (Repost from Pixelfed)

When I was in high school, I played a lot of Dungeons and Dragons. Think back to 2nd Edition with THAC0. Anyway, I played a lot with my best friends, who would go on to be one of my best men at my wedding.

While in high school, his had a house fire at home. I walked through his house with him the next day. Sitting on his charred, computer was his D&D dice. Most were so charred they were unreadable. Not the d10. It had a coating that looked like a toasted marshmallow.

He was going to chuck it, but I asked if he'd mind if I kept it. He did not.

I've had it since.

That was 26+ years ago. Used it last weekend playing D&D.

When I was in high school, I played a lot of Dungeons and Dragons. Think back to 2nd Edition when the rules were unnecessarily complicated with THAC0. Anyway, I played a lot with one of my best friends. A man who would go on to be one of my best men at my wedding.

While in high school, his house caught fire and was just destroyed. I went with him the next day and walked through his house. Sitting on his charred, damaged computer was his set of dice he used for our D&D sessions. Most were so charred they were unreadable. Not the d10. It had like a singe coating that almost looked like a toasted marshmallow.

He was going to throw it out, but I asked if he minded if I kept it. He did not.

I've had it since.

That was 26+ years ago. Just used it last weekend while playing D&D.

PBS does have resources for autistic people like me, but LifeWorks at WKU was a program that put me in danger.

Some of the people there were mentioned on the resources page because KET actually gave them interviews and network publicity.

I didn’t need LifeWorks to find a job without people getting in the way.

Other than that, kudos to KET for being more autism-friendly than LifeWorks.
