Latest portrait! This one felt like it had a bit of a different flow compared to previous portraits and I don’t know why. At various stages I see-sawed between working too tightly and wanting to take things looser and more free. Here’s how things ended up.

Toen ik een foto van dit standbeeld zag, wist ik dat ik het moest tekenen. Het standbeeld genaamd "El Petó de la Mort", vertaald naar "The kiss of death" staat op een begraafplaats in het Poblenou strict in Barcelona.
Persoonlijk vindt ik het een ontroerend beeld, anderen vinden het luguber. Wat denk jij als je naar deze tekening kijkt?

Autorretrato (de allá por el.. 2012? de una sesión de fotos de 2010 o por ahí). De cuando aprovechaba los trabajos del curso de fotógrafa profesional (no lo soy, pero el curso se llamaba así, dejadme sacar brillo a mi ego xD) para los estudios de ilustradora.
Había que hacer un autorretrato frontal en A3 con técnica de grafito. Pues toma.

Ik hou van het tekenen van horror karakters omdat ze vaak gelijk al een (onbehaaglijk) gevoel geven, zo ook "Art the clown". In één oogopslag is duidelijk dat dit een "nare" clown is, ondanks dat hij lacht en een grappig trompetje heeft.
Ik teken voornamelijk onderwerpen die een bepaald gevoel oproepen of, als je "echt" naar de tekening gaat kijken, je aan het denken zet.
