Passing this on because it is the best summary of the issues surrounding #Kratom I've seen to date...

"Legal Morphine’— The Rise of Kratom and 7-OH in the US"

medscape.com/viewarticle/legal

Key warning is 👉 avoid purified "7-OH" products. 👈

You CAN get too much of a good thing!

"The most well-studied compounds in kratom are #mitragynine and 7-OH... At low doses, mitragynine’s mixed receptor profile (adrenergic, serotonergic, dopaminergic) yields mild stimulant and mood-boosting effects."

"By contrast, concentrated 7-OH preparations are 30-40 times more potent at opioid receptors and produce rapid-onset analgesia, euphoria, respiratory depression, and classic #Opioid -type #withdrawal. As previously reported by Medscape Medical News, research has shown that 7-OH (formerly known as (7-HMG) has high abuse potential and may also increase the intake of other #opiates."

Also, I’ve never had any delay or denial in approval of #opiates from insurures, public or private.

But trying to get safe, non controversial #lidocaine & #menthol for #pain, I’ve had #insurance deny or delay approval most of the time. Other safe options like #massage or #infrared therapy are never offered.

Government & medical institutions are eager to punish, even imprison doctors & patients trying to treat pain, but zero effort has been made to increase use of safe alternative treatments.

This article from the #RAC is a bit mangled - #amfetamine, #benzodiazepines and #opiates are *not* "everyday" medicines for most people - even low dose #codeine is pharmacy only (the pharmacist should warn you about #driving impairment, and the package itself has a warning), and those prescribed the controlled #drugs should already have had a warning from their GP (plus mistiming meds or sleep deprivation can easily lead to being stopped by the Police when driving)

rac.co.uk/drive/news/motoring-

www.rac.co.ukThese everyday medicines could get you fined or banned from driving | RAC DriveMany legal medicines and painkillers could impair your driving and it’s an offence in England, Scotland, and Wales to drive with specified limits in your blood.

#Boosts please

How many days meant to wait after stopping #opiates before starting #LDN? Have prescribed LDN. It used to be 3 days standard but now? Dosage? I got 1.5mg but can pull apart capsules.
What happens when start LDN?
Your experiences also help. I know many out there been through this.

System has pretty much abandoned me. Don’t ever live in wrong postcode.😔

Allegedly owner of Divino Nino,a place to care for children between 6 weeks to 12 years old in The Bonx, had sublet a room to a guy.Officers of #NYPD and uS DEA have broken down the door and raided the room to discover a little less than one kg of #Fentanyl and a kilo press
Kilo press is used by drug dealers to adulterate #Cocaine with #Opiates into bricks
Overdose of babies would have been due to #Fentanyl inhalation
Earlier Saturday afternoon owner and her cousin were taken into police custody

Around 2013 I started writing to u on my #Twitter account about the #Opioid epidemic in the US.
The US was climbing its second peak in opioid use and associated deaths
Unfortunately #Twitter account of mine was closed after being attacked by usual trolls and drug dealers
Three children have been poisoned by opioids at #Bronx day care facility in #NewYork and a 1-yo has died No one knows how they came into contact with #opiates or they don't want to know. I'm going to explain to u what happened

@NeuroDrugDoc
I have watched Painkillers and Dopesick. For sure the Sacklers are horrible people. But IMHO, it was the enablers that are even more negligent and never held accountable. This includes the physicians that ignored the obvious. Pill mills became rampant.
#Opiates are addictive regardless of how much you try and put a “shiny new coating” on them.
There was greed on many sides.
