I’m finally getting over the cold/flu that I’ve had for 6 days now. Been isolating, working from home (because I’m fortunate enough to do so.)
I can’t believe the CDC and other medical research layoffs & program cancellations.
Illnesses are not political. Colds, flu, we still have not mastered. Open Medical research so that projects may live on outside of for-profit ventures.
This is just focusing on standard biological issues not even biological warfare, prevention of weaponized diseases.
The current bug that is going around kicked my ass hard, and I’ve been improving my health baselines for months prior to this bug.
I can’t imagine the impact on people with medical conditions. (I did not have COVID, I’m still testing.)
There is something truly wrong happening and we seem powerless to stop it as it’s unprecedented and doesn’t seem to be entirely illegal (unlike ICE directives.)
If not government, what non-profit group(s) do we support to continue medical research and outbreak tracking & prevention??
