I really fear this.

If they give in to the big house builders that have a stranglehold over new homes over energy efficiency measures, then they are condemning the UK to fail on reaching (figures vary considerably but up to 25% of UK emissions believed to come from domestic homes).

But equally important they are condemning residents to higher bills and leaving them tied into fossil fuel technology (gas boilers) for decades longer than necessary.
