Mark and MarieThe third port on our 2008 honeymoon cruise was Keelung on Taiwan's northern coast. We decided not to explore the city or the country's capital, Taipei, but instead headed off on a tour that first brought us to Nanya, considered a natural garden. Sandstone rock formations - many of them named - lined the area on the shore. A shame the weather wasn't very accommodating, and we were soaked through to our underpants by the time we boarded our bus again, but beautiful nonetheless.<br> <br> <a href="https://pixey.org/discover/tags/Travel?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Travel</a> <a href="https://pixey.org/discover/tags/Photography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Photography</a> <a href="https://pixey.org/discover/tags/Geology?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Geology</a> <a href="https://pixey.org/discover/tags/Sandstone?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Sandstone</a> <a href="https://pixey.org/discover/tags/Nanya?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Nanya</a> <a href="https://pixey.org/discover/tags/Taiwan?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Taiwan</a> <a href="https://pixey.org/discover/tags/Cruise?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Cruise</a> <a href="https://pixey.org/discover/tags/Landscape?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Landscape</a> <a href="https://pixey.org/discover/tags/LandscapePhotography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#LandscapePhotography</a> <a href="https://pixey.org/discover/tags/TravelPhotography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#TravelPhotography</a>

Mark H<p>For <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/MeerMittwoch" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>MeerMittwoch</span></a> with some eye candy for geology fans too, this is Nanya, a scenic viewpoint considered a natural garden to the people of Taiwan, located along the coast from Keelung on the north of the island country. The rock is sandstone and many of the weathered formations around here have attracted names as a result.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Travel" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Travel</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/TravelPhotography" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>TravelPhotography</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Geology" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Geology</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Sandstone" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Sandstone</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Taiwan" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Taiwan</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Keelung" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Keelung</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Nanya" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Nanya</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Photography" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Photography</span></a></p>
