#musicwomenwednesday #PJHarvey 'Inside the Old Year Dying' LP
I don't think I could pick a favourite PJ record as they are records that I can keep coming back to and enjoy irrespective of when they were released. #vinyl

Lay down, lay down
Lay it all down
Let your white birds smile up
At the ones who stand and frown.

This #MusicWomenWednesday is going to be a bit odd, due to my chonolist progression order, but Sherri Savage, who did the ED "Hot Stuff" for the anime Cat's Eye is someone I can find 0 details about other than this song. It looks like she appeared out of space and time itself, made this single recording, and disappeared back!
At any rate, it's real good, but the ED might be NSFW for some folks. ;-) https://animethemes.moe/anime/cats_eye/ED2-NCBD1080
So here is the LP full track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVhn99oRlBs
I guess that being the case, I should also shout out Anri (Eiko Kawashima) who performed Cat's Eye OP1 and ED1

https://animethemes.moe/anime/cats_eye/ED1-NCBD1080
She's been active since 1978 until... present! With a new album in 2018, and dozens on the streaming sites. The exact opposite of Sherri!

#NowPlaying Kylie Minogue - Body Language I'm in a bizarre spot listening wise lately. I think it spans from the weather. I've bene listening to a lot of punk, pop, dance/electronic and hip hop. Today I've gone to Kylie on #MusicWomenWednesday. #pop #dance #electronic
For this week's #MusicWomenWednesday, 2023 EP 'Feed the Wanting' by Brighton, UK's YUMI AND THE WEATHER. This has a bombastic sound right away, maybe Breeders meets Linda Ronstadt? There's psych country in there, too- the second track has Grace Slick or Stevie Nicks vibes. Hints of Elastica, That Dog, the Who, Foo Fighters later. (Thanks to @wendigo for help with analysis!) This is a super catchy, dynamic, interesting EP.
