Prayer group is at 08:00
Then I head to the kitchen to set up the Communion cups.
Prayer circle is at 09:00
During which I will start to greet everyone at the front door, and shall do so for both 09:30 and 11:00 services.
If needed the Connection Team Leader shall ask me to assist with distributing the Communion.
Arianna shall join us for the start of either service.
Please feel free to do so. Anyone around the world may join us online at 11:00.

Glad I checked my email before driving into work.
My boss had informed me that God's Pantry Food Bank is currently without power, as from last evening.
The laptop I remote to from home is in our main building.
https://www.godspantry.org/ #FoodBank
Also unable to work for MissionAssist today as I completed my batch of 4 Bible chapters overnight, and sent the files to my supervisor.

People often ask me what I like to do for fun.
That answer is to keyboard type the #Bible into text documents from many languages from all over the world for #MissionAssist. https://missionassist.org.uk/
Of course I often encounter characters that I have to type using the KDE Compose key, or copy the character from Unicode to paste into the document.
For me this is done in #Linux
Here is my updated guide for these characters, based upon the Insheets for the 20 languages that I have worked on so far:

Laundry has already been sorted into 4 loads, and the first is in the washing machine.

First day of a 9 day long weekend.
PTO from work for a week.
It's also Kids Camp week at CenterPointe Christian Church: https://centerpointe-christian.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/2839585
Camp is totally free for all kids. Please sign them up.

Unsure what my plans for the day are going to be, but pretty sure they will include typing up a Bible chapter in a native North American language for MissionAssist. We are always looking for volunteers in this mission work.

I hope that you have a most excellent weekend!

I love my Keyboarding volunteer work with
I work from home typing local people languages into a structured text document for Bible Societies and other organisations to use as needed.
I just finished typing in a language from South America, and now moving on to a lovely complicated language from Native North America. Lots of symbols!
There are other volunteer opportunities. Please check out the website and join me: https://missionassist.org.uk/

Monday 06:56
Some may have noticed that I am quite sporadic these days with a morning timed message. They will continue on days I have something to report or say.

Health-wise, I stay the same with on-off focus periods with my brain where I am sharp or need a nap to reset. Naps / Sleep remains only a few hours at a time. #Concussion #PCS

Today starts a new work week with the #FoodBank, which shall be interesting:
Monday: Split shifts of Office and Home.
Tuesday: Work from Home. #WFH
Wednesday: Split shifts of Office and Home.
Thursday: Arianna has a medical procedure for which she is being sedated. I am taking PTO to be her driver and carer.
Friday: PTO
BTW - Saturday: Podcrawl - details here: https://tuxjam.otherside.network/podcrawl/

Over the weekend I completed a designated batch of typing up #Bible extracts from an international local people group. Sent in my completed work to my #MissionAssist supervisor, and received a new batch this morning.

I shall have my first #Coffee of the day at work.
Take care of yourself, and your neighbours.

Sunday 06:48
It's going to be a wonderful day:

I shall be spending the whole morning at the CenterPointe Christian Church building.
08:00 Awake Prayer Group.
Setup the Communion Cups.
09:00 Church Prayer Circle - although I will probably be at the front door.
Front door greeting duty for:
09:30 Church Service - In person.
11:00 Church Service - In person and online.
Please feel free to join Arianna & I.

Yesterday I attended the Hands Off! Rally downtown Lexington, KY.
It was a blessing to be there among compassionate people concerned about their fellow residents and citizens of the USA. At the same time I could feel a lack of certain hope in their personal lives, the same hope I experience through knowing my Lord Jesus Christ. It is my prayer not only that their daily lives would be increased by a change of government, but also that they and all would come to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
#HandsOff #HandsOff2025

After my lunch and nap I plan to work for a few hours on my current MissionAssist project of typing up Bible extracts from a local language scanned book. Such needed work for these people.
#Bible #MissionAssist https://missionassist.org.uk/

Tomorrow I shall be going to my #FoodBank office, to do the same job I have been doing for a few years, but under a new Vice President boss under the updated department title of Finance and Support Services.
This Food Procurement & Reporting Officer will be part of the data team.
Exciting times, especially as we just past a rolling 12 month period of over 50M LB weight distribution. When I started in July 1999 we were distributing 6M LB per year.

I hope and pray that you have a most fantastic day.
Be there for all around you.
I am here for you.

Saturday 06:40
After a whole bunch of napping last evening, I woke up in the middle of the night, made Coffee and ate Lasagne (as you do!), worked on a MissionAssist project, then went back to bed.
https://missionassist.org.uk/ #MissionAssist

Now fully awake again, but brewing up some wonderful Laos Coffee from Every Tribe Coffee to make sure!

I have fully recovered from the Stomach Flu from last weekend.
This past week of work at the Food Bank has been extremely busy. #FoodBank
Therefore I am resting up today as much as possible.
That said, I know Arianna wants to clean up our back porch, so I will probably assist with that, especially the heavy lifting part.

Take care of yourself this weekend, those that you love, and everyone around you!

I'm shy of being in the spotlight myself but very happy for this blog opportunity to shine the spotlight on the dedicated #volunteers in #MissionAssist, including Rob who types up #Bible translations into digital format – in languages he doesn’t speak and for the benefit of people he doesn’t know.

Read Rob's story on the #Stewardship website stewardship.org.uk/blogs/act-2 .

Thursday 06:00
Managed to get a good amount of sleep... in a couple of shifts, waking up in the early hours again. I set up a new project #MissionAssist template and attempted to work on a #FoodBank Jet Report. However for some reason my laptop in my work office decided to go offline, aka shutdown, as I connected.

Looks like I am heading into work for about 06:30 again. This seems to be my pattern this week.
I have a LARGE project to work on today for my wonderful boss.

My D-Group meets tonight at 20:00. I could not join last week as I was really sick with Stomach Flu. Missing those guys as I could not make it out Sunday.

Saturday 06:08
Last night I Tooted / Posted that I had Shingles and Influenza shots that morning, and felt woozy.
Managed to sleep overnight in only 3 stages (thank you water pill), and woke up at 05:57.
I had originally set my alarm for 05:00 to be at the church building at 06:00 for my hour of prayer. Obviously that's not happening, but I shall set aside time today to pray.
Other than running 2 weeks worth of laundry, the only other work I plan for today is for MissionAssist.
Otherwise I am totally resting up all day.
Take care of yourselves y'all.

Friday 22:17
Went to bed before 21:00, feeling absolutely drained.
This morning I received my 2nd Shingles Shot from the Doctor's Office and Influenza Shot from Publix.
Went to work for a couple of hours, but started feeling really woozy. My most excellent boss Danielle told me to go home.
Been on / off napping all afternoon & evening.
Didn't even make it to TheBugcast live show.
Tomorrow I shall most probably stay at home all day:
a) I do have a 06:00 appointment with the 30 hours of prayer, but will probably do that from home.
b) Rescheduled my Blood Donation 09:00 appt to the following Saturday.
c) Arianna had been invited to a lady's Baptism at the Church building at 16:30, but the event has been moved to Sunday's 2nd service at 11:00. I had planned to attend & witness also.
Although I shall rest up as much as possible, I shall still work on 2 weeks worth of laundry, and complete my MissionAssist allocated Bible chapters over the weekend.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers my friends.

Tuesday 05:24
Life is good my friends.
Yesterday I arrived home from work to 2 delivered packages that Arianna had taken into the house for me.
a) A boxed #PineTime #SmartWatch. It is currently still boxed, as I have not yet gotten around to opening it. Last evening I basically napped, had my supper, worked on an allocated #MissionAssist #Bible chapter, then bed.
b) A book: The 40 Day Discipleship Journey. This is the course that my CenterPointe Christian Church leadership are taking, and it was introduced to the Men's Group on Sunday afternoon. I ordered immediately, as Pastor Ethan is witness to! I hope to start this course soon.

Today at the #FoodBank, my main responsibility is to order dry packed Fruit & Vegetables for seniors, as part of the #USDA #CSFP program. I shall be ordering a year's worth, taking our future orders from 2026 to 2027.
Talking of future planning, it is now #Turkey season, with the vendors starting to submit their delivered pricing for #Thanksgiving 2025. By the end of this week, I should be informed by our own TX planning committee how many birds to order this year.
Also this week, I shall be ordering our mixed truckloads of Fresh Produce to be delivered to our 4 KY locations in April 2025. #FreshProduce
Told you that life is good, and I absolutely love my job. (Always wishing though that there was no need for my job.)

Other plans for today:
1) At 15:00 I hope to join MissionAssist on #Zoom for their monthly #prayer time. They are British based, so 19:00 for them, but since Sunday's Spring Forward I am now an hour closer. I should be joining them from my work office with closed door. https://missionassist.org.uk/
2) After work I look forward to being at #Villainous Gaming Pub for about 17:00. This is your weekly local reminder to come on out and join me. If you make it out, great, but I know I shall have a great time hanging out anyway. https://villainous.club/

The Kettle was on for my first #Coffee of the day.
I probably now need to re-boil the water!
Thinking I shall have Fresh #Raspberries with #Yogurt for breakfast.

Life is busy, and full of adventure.
How is your day? - I'm really asking!
Peter //O\

Saturday 08:15
Originally I had no real plans for today, but last evening at 22:00 I messaged Pastor Jack Brooks, asking him if I could take him for breakfast.
So, I shall be picking him at his Georgetown, KY house at 09:30, and drive us both to Ramsey's Diner, Leestown Road, Lexington, KY for 10:00 opening.
Looking forward to the wonderful in-car and in-restaurant chats we will have today. It's been too long.
http://ramseysdiners.com/
At the same time Arianna shall be meeting with Lynne Brooks and other ladies for a virtual get-together Bible Study & Prayer time. #Bible #Prayer
After I drop Jack back home, I plan to stop at the Aldi store next to them. We are in need of a few items.

I have already spent time with Dragon-in-Law Eva in the kitchen.
She was doing her exercises while I made my mug of #Coffee and a breakfast snack. Need to be hungry enough for Ramsey's!

That's my entire morning covered.
In the afternoon I shall start #Laundry and jump into my #MissionAssist allocated Bible chapters to "type in tongues".

We continue to live in troubling times, but I know I have my faith. What keeps you going?
Here for you in friendship and support.

Wednesday 08:55
One of my favourite Telegram chat bots named Rose often responds with "First we have the coffee, then we do the things." when #Coffee is mentioned.
Well, today I have been doing things backwards.
I have been up for about 2 hours doing lots of things, and only now finished my coffee.
This Toot / Post is normally done first, but not today.

I shall be working on Saturday in my #FoodBank office running the end of month snapshot and distribution reports, so balancing my time this week.
I may be salary, but we are encouraged not to work over 40 hours. Technically I don't clock in and out, and pretty much set my own hours. As long as the work gets done!

Talking of work, I have an friend visiting our facility today at 10:00, so as long as I make it in before then I am good.
This is a local online contact that I shall be meeting in-person for the first time. He lives in Versailles, KY, and is a fellow Christian believer.

This week has been SO hectic with the flood disaster relief. It actually feels good to slow down a bit.

Looking forward to Arianna & I attending a CenterPointe Christian Church Growth Group tonight, held in a #church family home.
https://mycpointe.com/growthgroups/
It should be great fellowship and encouragement of one another.

This morning one of the things I did, was compete my designated chapters of 2 Corinthians for #MissionAssist, sending them to my Team Leader.

Well, time to head to work.
I hope y'all have a great day.

Tuesday 04:53
It's early o'clock, and I have been up for a while.
I did go to bed at 22:00, so I did try for a whole night.

Plans for today:
> Make #Coffee and a breakfast sandwich.
> Finish my #MissionAssist designated chapters and submit them to my Team Lead.
> Go to work at the #FoodBank. I have been informed that we now have enough Disaster Relief Food to get us through the crisis, so I am taking my foot off the ordering accelerator.

A friend told me yesterday that they were donating money to God's Pantry Food Bank, which of course I thanked them, and wrote this:
"I know I joke around about a Scotsman being in charge of spending, which is true, but we really can extend your money.
As well as purchasing wholesale, we accept truckload donations of food and product from National Donors (Conagra, Campbells, Nestle, Kellogg, etc) and still need to pay for the freight. You do the maths there as to how much we end up paying per LB, to give to our food insecure neighbours."
https://www.godspantry.org/
Thanks to all who have supported us during the Flood Crisis and ongoing with our Mission.

> Hope to go to Villainous after work. If anyone would like to join me 17:00 onwards please inform me. #Villainous https://villainous.club/
> Stop by #Kroger to purchase a meal snack for tomorrow evening's Church Growth Group, that Arianna & I shall be attending.

I hope you have a most excellent day.
