Varceptious
Spent this cold day by cuddling with my little man and doing training sporadically throughout the day. We focused on his recall with a whistle instead of words. He responds better to the whistle than he does the word come. We did some doggy push-ups, a level 3 puzzle, he had a frozen topple, went for a mile walk with my husband, and the good news is, he's not scared of my rollator! He won't go under it right now, but he knows how to stay out of the way, and he tends to follow me every time I walk with it. Also we worked some on his impulse control; he redirects with a few prompts but is getting better with his redirecting reaction time. So small victories, and learning more about my boy. The Fi 3 that I got him is working beautifully! It even has a score to tell you whether or not he's had enough sleep compared to exercise. Really helps me be more aware of what he needs for exercise and rest.
#ServiceDogInTraining #MiniDachshund #Dachshund
