Managed to get it running on Lutris. Not easy, I had to take a wild stab in the dark and find this page:

I copied that into a file.yaml and then pointed Lutris at it. Click, click, find install exe, click, waaaaaaiiitt, and it ran!

Oikein mainio tiivistunnelmainen peli. Immersio oli vahva ja sellaisista peleistähän minä tykkään. Oli kuin olisi oikeasti ollut Moskovan metrotunneleissa ydinsodan jälkeen.
No joo, ei täydellinen, mut tosi hyvä kuitenkin. Just nous pisteet 4.5

Just finished #Metro2033Redux. Very thick atmosphere which I loved. You could really immerse yourself into the subway tunnels of post-nuclear war Moscow.
Not perfect, samey enemies, somewhat repetetive, but still, I think I give this one 4.5/5.0(just a half inch above 4.0).
Took me 15 hours during a week and a half.
Next stop #KCD2
I bought metro redux on switch and so far I'm sorry to say I think it sucks. Enemies swarm me like locusts, the only gun I have that isn't horrible is of limited use in this situation, and it's entirely too goddamn dark. I'm intrigued by the mystery, but I'm not sure if that's enough to make me keep going. #gaming #metro2033redux #nintendoswitch

@winterschon @marcan@treehouse.systems @G33KatWork @tnt @sima @lina the only issues I had with #Wayland & #Xwayland on #AMD GPUs are weird texture glitches in #Metro2033Redux & #MetroLastLightRedux which get "magically unf**ked" if one goes in the options menu, switches graphics quality around, confirms, and then switches back and confirms.

For the record, the missing synchronization feature in the Nvidia proprietary drivers is implicit sync. It's been years and they still don't have it. Wayland is completely broken without it (so is X on modesetting for that matter, but presumably they do something else in their proprietary DDX).
@lina@vt.social implemented it for the Asahi GPU driver in two weeks, plus maybe a couple more of debugging, give or take. It's already been shipping to users for a while, with a few rare glitches that are identified and fixed for the next version already.

Stepping out of my comfort zone a bit for today's drawing by using a medium I'm not really familiar with: alcohol markers.
I recently picked up three Winsor & Newton Promarkers from the clearance bin at Staples, and wanted to give them a try.
Since my palette is rather limited with just three colours, I wanted to draw an example that was also rather limited in colours. Having recently watched Many a True Nerd's playthrough of Metro 2033 Redux, I decided to pick a scene of the Dark Ones near the end of the game.
I kind of like the results (though I think I prefer my monochrome version best?), and I might pick up some more colours if they still have them on sale, the next time I can pop in.
