All of the difference instances can cause choice paralysis as well as the idea that "bigger is better" or “I’ll be restricted to a small network” if I choose the wrong instance. I just installed tooot app and realize I prefer what I was previously using. I think it's just a matter of time that the edit feature is a standard across all Mastodon client apps.
