35TH ANNIVERSARY
Mark Lanegan - The Winding Sheet (1990)
Favourite Track: Down In The Dark
Released before his band The Screaming Trees became MTV stars Lanegan's debut sets out the brooding, bluesy template that he would become famous for once the band split up.

(November 25, 1964-February 22, 2022)
Today's random #Discogs choice Isobel Cambell & Mark Lanegan and Ballad Of The Broken Seas 2024 reissue. A great album for a Sunday and a welcome reissue. Now, please do the others. Favourite track Rambling Man.

Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan - Ballad of the Broken Seas
Recently re-released on what would have been Lanegan's 60th, this first full-length collaboration is well worth seeking out.
Campbell mostly wrote the album with Lanegan in mind, and their sweet/rough contrast makes the album work pretty damn well.
Here's hoping the others gets re-released too…
