BjoernTodays pictures are taken at the Abbaye de Saint-Mathieu de Fine Terre in Plougonvelin (Bretagne, France). A somehow magical place. Standing there, seeing the sky through the non-existent roof of the abbey, listening the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, it's just marvellous. And of course i had a great time with my dogs there.<br>

MikeSanta Cruz Lighthouse, aka the Mark Abbott Memorial Lighthouse, 5/18/2023. Though not an historical lighthouse per se, it is nevertheless an active aid to navigation. It was built in 1967 in memory of a teenager who died nearby while bodysurfing.
