#lecorbusier #architecte moderniste souvent loué pour ses talents... était un #fasciste qui a passé une bonne partie de la guerre à Paris et à Vichy, fréquente les militants du faisceau, conçoit des bâtiments pour un #corpstandardisé d'un grand homme blanc valide, parle de l'élevage des enfants, prévoit un jardin clos dans ses constructions pour les élever dans la discipline et sans mauvaise fréquentation, voulait détruire une partie de Paris...bref l'ordre et l'hygiène

One of the sites visited today on the scavenger hunt was a collection of grain elevators now referred to as Silo City. In the background here is the "Marine "A" Elevator" which is currently vacant (in keeping with the challenge theme) though is sometimes the setting for concerts and spoken word presentations. Other elevators at Silo City are in active use storing grain, while others were just converted into apartments and offices. It's said that #waltergropius and #LeCorbusier were influenced by their stark functionality. Anyway, going here made for a lovely ride today. #buffalony #cycling #winterbiking #grainelevator #abandonedbuilding #silocity
