I'm a pedant so I'd just like to point out that a "staycation" technically is when you take a holiday at home. Fortunately I live in Lamlash and I agree that this award is entirely justified .
I was booked to lead a guided walk today but unfortunately my clients had to cancel, so instead Nuis and I have enjoyed an extended walk around Lamlash.
We travel 50 miles north by boat to Lamlash, the largest settlement on the Isle of Arran and the island's capital. Arran is one of the most accessible of the Scottish islands and one of the most southerly, and is often called a Scotland in miniature, having a mountainous north and rather gentler south.
