I ordered a Behringer LM Drum today. (replica of the legendary Linn Drum 80ties drum computer.) But Neu! in 1972 just used a drummer's brain wired to some mechanical clock or something.

"Voyager to Voyager" is Dead Meadow’s tenth studio album and a poignant milestone in their 26-year career. It stands as their most emotionally charged and sonically expansive work yet, serving as a powerful tribute to late bassist Steve Kille, who passed away in April 2024 after battling cancer. Written and recorded across three raw, intense sessions in LA, the album captures the band’s live energy and creative chemistry. Though initially mixed at Studio 606, guitarist Jason Simon remixed it at home to better reflect the band’s vision. Lyrically exploring themes of space, isolation, and connection, Voyager to Voyager honors Kille’s immense legacy and cements Dead Meadow’s status as pioneers of psychedelic rock.

I'm experimenting with new things these days.
For example, I created a 4-bar repeating sequence that repeats for a few minutes.
A second track has exactly the same sequence, but on this one, the sequence shifts by an eighth note every X bar cycles. This allows for very interesting evolving patterns. Bringing out key notes, phrases, & new rhythmic patterns: It's fascinating! :0)
