Ebly Pamplemousse<p>Not having any notes on which needle I used for the button band, I went with the pattern rec... Thought it a little large but thought it may settle down after a row or two... It didn&#39;t; the stitches were much larger.<br />So, I ripped them out and started again with needles 2 sizes smaller. Result!<br />Only I&#39;ve now got to work what&#39;s effectively 8 incredibly long rows of K1,P1 using 2.75mm needles. 😢</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Knitting" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Knitting</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/KnittingWoes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>KnittingWoes</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/FallFinishAlong" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>FallFinishAlong</span></a></p>
Katy<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/knitting" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>knitting</span></a></span> The cardigan for Husbeast has been put in the naughty corner prior to me frogging it. Everything is fine. It fits, Husbeast is happy. I realised that I don't have enough yarn for the buttonholes as planned. That's ok because there is a lovely border edge it just doesn't have any holes in it for buttons. So I'm going to take it with me when we go to Scotland. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/knitting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>knitting</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/wip" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wip</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/frog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>frog</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/knittingwoes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>knittingwoes</span></a></p>
That's Mr Badger to you 🏳️‍🌈<p>St Brigid update</p><p>So. It&#39;s finished and I&#39;m delighted with the construction, but and it&#39;s a really devastating but, it&#39;s way way too big.<br />You see when I started it, I failed to take into account that I&#39;ve lost a lot of weight these last 12 months, even though I reduced needle size and yarn weight to get gauge, it&#39;s still baggy as fuck.</p><p>So now I need to work out how much I need to reduce it and frog the entire thing and start again.</p><p>Thank goodness I enjoyed knitting this jumper</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/KnittingWoes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>KnittingWoes</span></a></p>
Ebly Pamplemousse<p>Oh, I need a darning mushroom. I really need one.</p><p>I also need to stop using dark coloured yarn.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/KnittingWoes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>KnittingWoes</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Knitting" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Knitting</span></a></p>
Emily King<p>Tonight I&#39;ve been frustrated by online stores listing cable needles &amp; circular/interchangeable needles as the same thing.</p><p>They are not the same.</p><p>One is used for cable knitting.</p><p>One is used for knitting in the round.</p><p>You could use an interchangeable needle for cable knitting but that would not be as helpful as using an actual cable needle. The cable from interchangeables can&#39;t be used for cable knitting.</p><p>Gah.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/knitting" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>knitting</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/KnittingWoes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>KnittingWoes</span></a></p>
Ebly Pamplemousse<p>Not content with having 2 WIPs, I started another the other day 🙄.</p><p>(The sock is still sitting over there, now feeling very sorry for itself, but I&#39;m not ready for it. And I need to find other needles for the cardigan - it uses 3 different sizes in total 🙁.)</p><p>This one will be a Christmas present for the baby... In 4 ply... Will I ever learn?! </p><p>I&#39;ve done all the increases, I&#39;ve even managed the *P3 K2 P3 K3 section. (Yes, it did require a lot of concentration and yes, it was annoying).</p><p>I&#39;m now on the *P3 K3 section. Except in the last row, I managed, half way through, to K4. And then, in this row, I managed to drop a stitch near the beginning. Even worse, when I was tinking back to it, I managed to drop another stitch. Both of them dropped down 3-4 rows. :blobcatnotlikethis: :blobcatreeeeeee:</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Knitting" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Knitting</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/KnittingWoes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>KnittingWoes</span></a></p>
Ebly Pamplemousse<p>Anybody else just want to shout out &quot;Leave me alone for 1hr so I can finish casting off!&quot;?</p><p>Yeah, it won&#39;t take me an hour (if I&#39;m left alone) but JSSBO takes a silly amount of concentration for me to do. And I can&#39;t just do a little, put it down, and then pick it up later and carry on from where I left off. I *need* to do it all at once.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Knitting" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Knitting</span></a> (Although maybe I should use <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/KnittingWoes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>KnittingWoes</span></a> instead!)</p>
