Congratulations to #JimChalmers & the #Labor party for achieving in their first term something that the #LNP could not manage to achieve in 9 horrific years of financial incompetence, #socialSuffering & political announcements. As you all know I will always give #CommunityIndependents and #Greens candidates my 1st preference, but I am extremely pleased that #Labor are on the government benches & I hope it stays that way for a long time!

If ppl are turning their back on democratic processes, its bc the ppl who are voted into high office aren't getting to the root of the problem: capitalism.

Its not democracy failing ppl.
Its rampant uncontrolled money haemorrhaging to big business and its super rich shareholders.

The crime that needs controlling isnt just the poor on the streets, its Big Finance (often) driven by wealthy (white) male entitlement.

But politicians aren't dealing with the elephant in the room bc they are complicit. Or naive.

Putting $300 in ppls pockets for winter fuel bills wont cure disillusionment when fatcats are getting breaks & handouts worth $millions
