The #PopTartsBowl is wild. #MiamiHurricanes and #IowaState are trading scoring possessions, now at 38 - 35 with the Hurricanes on top with 2:20 left in the 3rd quarter. If not for two fumbles deep in their own territory, Miami would have likely been blowing out the Cyclones. At the half, #IowaHawkeyes are up 13-0 over #IowaState. This game is...bad.

Even if the Hawkeyes offense is much better than the past several years, they still have horrible red zone offense.

But the Cyclones are so much worse on offense. Why call a shallow cross when you gained just 2 yards on your way to a missed field goal? At least call a corner post route and toss a tall one to your 6'-4" tall receiver, Jayden Higgins.

Yes, both defenses are good, but both QBs are not very good.

At the end of the 1st quarter, the #IowaHawkeyes offense is definitely better than the last several years, but almost all of it is short-pass stuff which appears is meant to set up TE shallow posts. Meanwhile, #IowaState looks pretty bad on offense. The center is bad, the QB is lazy, and the play calling is conservative.
