During the construction of fortifications in the #Mykolaiv region, a burial dating back to the 6th-5th centuries BC was discovered.
Among the artefacts found were an #Ionian amphora and an ancient #Greek jug for pouring wine. These ritual objects were brought from #Greece.
The burial was discovered by soldiers of the #123rd brigade of the #Ukrainian Navy, who transferred the finds and human remains to the #Mykolaiv museum “#Staroflotsky_Barracks”

This bread is inspired by the #Greek #Horiatiko - #Χωριάτικο #ψωμί - and also southern #Italian breads, such as the #Pane #pugliese.
There seems to be a geographic theme here, southern #Adriatic and northern #Ionian - and it is a beautiful part of the world.
The weather has been so awful, I need something to cheer me up: These are the #mountains on the #Greek mainland as seen across the #sea from my favourite beach on the #island of #Paxos in the early morning light. I would happily move there if I could afford to.
