Eric 🍄<p>I've been down with COVID and little energy to even think about games but I'm thinking about Wandering Blades. <br>It's a wuxia game with an OSR engine, focused on short sandbox campaigns and featuring a tactical yet map-free combat system. </p><p>Yeah, that's an odd beast to say the least. </p><p>I had to run it to see for myself but the designer's claim that it can emulate blow-by-blow martial arts is not a lie. I really want to see more swordsmanship on wires with real stakes (it's obviously not as lethal as your typical retroclone but still, blood is coughed and limbs get lost). Second session is happening as soon as I start feeling better. </p><p>Anyway. The game is still on KS for an hour and a half, and it's a small entry ticket of you're curious about the mechanics. (Or just get the quickstart, I'm not the sifu of you.)</p><p><a href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tonyatplusoneexp/wandering-blades" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">kickstarter.com/projects/tonya</span><span class="invisible">tplusoneexp/wandering-blades</span></a></p><p><a href="https://tabletop.social/tags/ttrpg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ttrpg</span></a> <a href="https://tabletop.social/tags/indiettrpg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>indiettrpg</span></a> <a href="https://tabletop.social/tags/notdnd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>notdnd</span></a></p>
