@trinityblair I'm just gonna tell you the #InconvenientTruth that the CPU is not the bottleneck, but the Software is.

- I did colour-grade and edit DCI-4k 25p @ 400MBit/s footage on an i7-6700K and that worked flawless in Resolve 12 and Premiere Elements 2016, and your Ryzen should run circles around that even if you throttle it to 35W TDP!

If you still rock HDDs or have just a single stick of 8GB of RAM or if your tool doesn't multithread, you got bottlenecks.

If I can take breaks, I take #PublicTransport. It's just not an option and on some jobs I would've not been hired without a reliable car.

  • Plus not everyone is able or willing to dish out 5+ digits for a #Wallbox at their rented parking spot when it's not even clear that would be legal as per fire safety code at all, given the landlord doesn't even allow people to refuel cars down there and #BatteryFires are a whole new level of shit!

Unless you can find me a car that seats me comfortably, costs < €4k (used or new) to buy and < € 100 in tax per year in Germany. - Not to mention I rarely exceed 1000km a month, often barely go over 500km and EVs are a pain in the ass to repair or service. And with car I mean EC Vehicle Class M1. - A Piaggio Ape 50 or anything that isn't highway legal or gets honked by trucks for being slow isn't gonna cut it and I do need at least 2+2 seating and about 125l of cargo volume on top.
