Yesterday was World Laughter Day which is a great reminder of the health benefits of laughing, especially during troubling and stressful times! We like to say The Confused Greenies of Players' Patchwork Theatre Company aim to make the world better one laugh, one smile at a time.

Ridiculous, weird, interesting, fun things that make me happy to be a human and rekindle hope in the infinite creative remix humans have been doing for half a million years (a non-comprehensive and pretty half-assed list):

  • Bobby McFerrin (seriously)
  • Laurie Anderson
  • College #improv comedy groups
  • Die Antwoord
  • GloRilla
  • Lowrider bicycles (not recumbents, lowriders)
  • #TMBG (obviously)
  • the Useless Machine
  • Regional #BurningMan type Events
  • The Shaggs
  • Mojo Nixon (RIP)
  • #Bronies
  • People who install #Linux on weird hardware
  • Very tall #bicycles
  • #Dildos suction-cupped to high windows
  • The Onion
  • #cats

Edit: added a buncha pound signs because why the hell not

Monday night's #ambient #improv on #microtonal #justIntonation Tele Deluxe is now up! The 257th of the series, this one patiently moves between very-consonant and more alien harmonies, with emotions communicated in some well-placed notes. Timbres are similar to orchestral wind instruments, if that's your thing. $0/name-your-price at snwv.bandcamp.com/album/music-

Tonight: first stop = double dose of weird at Roulette, bill ending with a trio consisting of Wendy Eisenberg, David Grubbs, and Kramer. Nonstop improvisation two-stepping between horror film scaries and inspired melodic beauty, with permutations of myriad overlaps of the two. Opening set from Lea Bertucci, Cleek Schrey, Ben Vida, and Henry Fraser was a cacophony of strings and voice and tape loops, lions, tigers, bears, etc.
