Ron Franke<p>On plant based meat.</p><p>For those of us that eat meat, there's really nothing like a good hamburger with an 80/20 ground beef patty and a great brioche bun. A good grind of beef and a good bun are really all that's needed to make a satisfying hamburger. The extra ingredients are enjoyable, incidental, and not always needed, at least in my opinion.</p><p>Today I had an Impossible burger. Something that I have periodically. And, I enjoyed it. It has a good flavor, nice mouth feel, and is satisfying.</p><p>But I don't think that it should be measured against a beef-based burger. Similarly, a beef-based burger should not be compared with a patty made from pork, turkey, or chicken. I hope the EU will start allowing them to sell here soon!</p>
