So the white "christian" leader wants to block giving handup housing to the homeless, during a housing crisis. And block the needed repair and refurbishing of a decrepit property.

Because that's What Jesus Would Do.

"Beverly Business Association executive director Alex Bosker said the organization would like to see the project go elsewhere."

To me, one of the most incredulous aspects of this story on #Chicago's #homeless community is that one of the #MigrantShelters being cleared out this week has an outbreak of #measles, but the sick and the carriers are still being thrown out into the public. More than likely, they'll find company with other #unvaccinated #migrants, spreading the disease even further.

Measles was supposed to end with my generation. I remember households being quarantined and pregnant women being worried after exposure to a child with Measles. (Exposure during pregnancy can cause #deafness and other #disabilities to the unborn child.) Now the city is treating it like it's the common cold!😲🤦‍♀️

They should all be allowed to stay there, until a safe quarantine time has ended.

This is beyond fucked.

Bunbury council plays 'Hot Potato' 24/7 to deter homeless people from sheltering in an empty outdoor stage.

Bunbury is having an unprecedented housing crisis, like the rest of the state, and this is the council's reaction. They did this before a few years back and got in trouble. We are about to go into a deadly hot summer, and they're pulling this shit.

Housless people are your neighbours. Look after your neighbours. Contact Bunbury Council to express your outrage over the treatment of their vulnerable residents. bunbury.wa.gov.au/contact
