I'm happy with how one of my current songs is coming along. I wrote the lyrics and melody a year or two ago, a kind of boring bluesy obliquely talking about transitioning. Somehow it's evolved into a down tempo trip hop dream pop kind of thing. The first half is sparse, e drums, piano and standup bass. I am trying to figure out how lush the second half needs to be.

Musste nochmal genauer schauen, dann fiel der Groschen! 😅 Über welche Themen man heutzutage Aufsätze schreiben soll… 😁

Just eliminated another part of my digital guitar recording chain: amp modeling. As someone who's really into tube amps I could never get friends with modeling. Sure there are great sounding plug-ins or products but for me the digital domain is more usable in the realm of effects. For amps, not so much.

The elimination consists of a fairly small box that sits between my amp speaker output and audio interface input.

Hi All, a short demo of a track/experiment with the G-Force TVSPro softsynth.

2 instances of the TVS Pro running in Reaper + Junn Linndrum.

One with a preset called Thunder Mountain - bass and a higher pitched sequence

The other with the Autopanner preset - panning sequencer

Kept it short - Intro verse chorus

So far my impression of the TVS Pro is - it's a bit of a beast.

Welcome To Midnight.

@lislegaard My favorite FOSS would be Ardour. I use it for recording, mixing and "mastering". I put mastering between quotes because it's basically just a compressor and a limiter on the master bus in my case. I use Ardour with a lot of plugins, LSP and x42 are in my favorites list. This runs on Debian, I consider that also one of my favorite FOSS.

Genuine question here for Linux users and musicians, composers, guitar players etc. I am being told by several mouthy people online that "nobody uses linux" & "nobody would use linux for music making"

How many of you use or have used Linux as a vehicle for recording music?

Please retoot/repost to help get a handle on this, cheers!
