Little discussion on #HavanaSyndrome anomalous health incidents in IC personnel was very interesting. While still in the IC I had looked at foreign open published work on directed energy effects on the blood brain barrier, some of which seemed clearly applicable to weapons development. I always believed the Havana Syndrome victims. Starts at about 1:40 youtube.com/watch?v=GClRh8RHzZU

Two intelligence agencies have now “shifted their judgment to reflect a greater possibility” that a small number of cases indeed were “caused by a foreign actor,” an intelligence official told reporters in a briefing. The agencies have examined new information that “foreign actors”—he didn’t say which—“are making progress in scientific research and weapons development.”

I've always maintained this possibility. A colleague of mine found foreign open source scientific papers detailing work on directed energy systems affecting CNS of test animals, which could have been developed into nonlethal weapons. I assumed this information would have been considered in the IC's earlier assessments but I don't know.

Biden officials cast doubt on view that #HavanaSyndrome wasn’t work of foreign agents

«Mahar Bitar and other NSC members told the group that some of the conclusions in the March 2023 intelligence assessment — in particular that there was no evidence that a foreign adversary had the ability or involvement — ‘were no longer valid,’ two people present in the room told the Miami Herald.»

How dreams of utopia with paranormal abilities to everyone led to secret military parapsychology operations during Cold war.
I am planning to publish some posts on anarcho-mysticism. Its history, main ideas and modern state of affairs. This time it is a history after the purge of 1937 and some concepts, that are crucial in understanding the movement.
In the second part of 19 century up to the ww2 scientific positivism – an idea, that it is possible to understand anything and give this knowledge and understanding to the people by using scientific method was quite popular.
Many scientists tried to apply this method to a psychic phenomena, expecting that their research will open it to the masses. Unfortunately, their works, regarding the matter and even their names are now only known to a tiny amount of occultists and specialists. And that is despite authors best efforts and intentions. They proved existence, found first patterns, gathered facts – but it is all become forgotten. Why is it so? – answer is well known to revolutionary theorists, both Marxists and anarchist alike: In capitalist society science is a privilege of the few – Kropotkin. In the world of wage slavery objectivity of science is childish nativity – Lenin.
Scientific method maybe objective but scientist himself is definitely not. He lives in a society, belongs to a certain economic class, craves for money and recognition from his colleagues and general public. If something new is discovered one immediately tries to put its name on it, to take some credit for it, to extract some wealth from it. And that means – that only things, that society are ready for, could be used, accepted and agreed by scientific community and general public as well. If society is only ready to accept something as a merchandise to sell and buy – then it is all that you can get.
In order for something truly new, discovered by science become known and commonly used - a certain change must happen in the social and economic environment first.
#Anarchomystics believed at time, that such a change is a revolution of 1917 in Russia. They believed, that communist society, that are free from official religion, free from egoism, free from clutches of capital and intellectual pride could use science to spread telepathic and telekinetic techniques among the people without too ,much of a problem.
Vasilev thought that way. A scientist who worked at Leningrad institute of brain research, who participated in Order of light meetings and lectures. In 1937 he got arrested among the others, but NKVD had released him without any charges. Why? – military parapsychology. Idea, that telepathic techniques could be used secretly by a state agents during sabotage and other operations. Vasilev work on a mental suggestion. His work interrupted during ww2, but then continued. He never received too much attention or recognition from other soviet scientists, instead there was a lot of baseless critique. Tired of such constant attacks he became somewhat desperate and publish his work in form of 3 books by official politizdat soviet book publishing company in the late 1940-s. His book started with words – I tried everything, I tried my best – who has done more to give this ability to the people? But that action of his led to unexpected consequences. It was the beginning of cold war, and his works become known to CIA. #CIA decided that USSR is developing paranormal methods for warfare (and that was basically true) and started their own program. #USSR has also found out about #USA parapsychology program and immediately responded with more programs – and a circle of escalation in this sphere becomes complete.
Other survived members of the order of light like Nalimov mostly worked as scientists as well, though they did not dare to move that boldly as Vasilev, in their endeavors, preferring to give just some hints in their works about possible occult practices.
States received an arsenal of methods to use against people– Psi-spying from USA, telepathic mind control from USSR, #psychotronic generators from both USSR and USA, teleological attacks from USSR and psychic vision from both USA and USSR. Also a distant telepathic assassination from USA (not verified by us) and «sleepers» practices (mental radio and mental spies variants) from USSR.
There are a lot of examples of use of such methods, a lot of data on remote viewing, some data on using telepathic suggestion during negotiations by the soviets etc. Some methods are used even now - for example psychotronic generators by Putin's regime which cause #Havanasyndrome.
When the cold war ended a lot of info about this work becomes available to public. But a keen seeker of truth has already know the real question – if it is all become easy for everyone to get, why 99% of people don’t know anything about it and why are not using these techniques now?

"Often referred to as “Havana Syndrome,” AHIs became widely known when American officials and their families living and working in the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba, first reported symptoms which include balance and cognitive problems, insomnia and headaches. Salon reported in March 2023 that a then-newly obtained declassified report, prepared for the director of national intelligence by a panel of experts, appears to show conclusively that Havana syndrome' — a cluster of unexplained symptoms experienced by diplomats and government personnel abroad — is not a naturally occurring health problem.

The new information verifies the former report. A whistleblower filed a complaint last year with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s Inspector General. We obtained the information via a FOIA request and subsequent lawsuit brought by the James Madison Project and attorney Mark Zaid.

'This whistleblower complaint represents the most significant and lawful disclosure of information that undermines the public posture of the Intelligence Community, and specifically the CIA, concerning AHIs,' Zaid said."
