We took a drive over to the seaside for chips and ice cream, and I made the most of the last day of <a href="https://sunny.garden/tags/MeMadeMay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MeMadeMay</a> with this flouncy purple tiered skirt that I sewed out of a charity shop bedsheet a couple of years ago.Really wish I'd made it with pockets, but never mind.I also did some plodging in the river, waved at a very small train, and helped a dog owner locate a missing ball. Now home to drink a slushie and probably nap for a while and generally have no responsibilities. Dan JonesI have a post-commit hook that I add to all my git repos that saves a record of every commit I make to a journal that I've been keeping for nearly a decade. It's part of a very messy hacked together app I wrote a long time ago that keeps records of a bunch of stuff, and I get my own look into the past every day with a daily journal of entries from "on this day" that my computer emails to me. In addition to git commits, it has things like Fediverse posts (or in the past, tweets), Foursquare check-ins, TV shows and movies I watch, manual notes I write, etc. Today, I saw a commit to a repo for a former job that had the commit message "✅ ♪Clean up, clean up everybody, everywhere♪". The ✅ indicates the change was related to testing, but otherwise I have no idea what that meant. An hour later, I had another commit that said "✅ Embiggen tests with more cromulent code". I no longer have access to that repo, so I have no idea what actual changes I made in those two commits, and obviously, the commit message offers no insight into the actual changes, aside from being testing changes. Anyway, let that be a lesson in how not to write good commit messages, as well as some little insight into how my mind works. <a href="https://microwords.goodevilgenius.org/t/happybirthdaytome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#HappyBirthdayToMe</a>

BasSometimes the planets align. Yesterday I saw Devin Townsend, my favourite musician. Performing his show The Moth. I am an moth and butterfly enthusiast. Yesterday was my birthday. Best. Birthday. EVER. There was the band itself, there was a choir, there was an orchestra and a conducter. And screens with stunning, sometimes very frightening or scary images. Everyone one stage was on point, along with the visuals. I went with my best friend, I met friends from Germany, made new friends from well, all over the world.. The vibes were just (although I don't like the word) 'wholesome'. What an unique event. And as a bonus, the drummer handed me personally his drum stick. And as a SUPER bonus, I had little chat with Devin. James (from UK) stood next to me and shouted; "DEVIN! IT'S HIS BIRTHDAY!" That got Dev's attention; "Is it your birthday?!" Me; "Yeah, just like 10 years ago! In Eindhoven when you sang 'happy birthday' with the DTP!" Dev; "I remember! I never forgot a /your beard!". And we chatted a bit about the show (The Moth). It had a huge impact on me and I told him I was crying during the first 10 minutes. "So did I", he replied. Last few months were very stressful, due to personal stuff. I felt so grateful for the whole day, meeting friends, talking to people, people who said 'happy birthday'.
