HF Underground's Fediverse bot just posted a link to a new thread about proposing a Part 15 arrangement for community radio, something about 1 watt. Of course I wanted more information--clicked on the link, found the thread was started by ThaDood, who also had a signature line worth repeating. I quote as follows:
"""""""""""""""""""
“I am often asked how radio works. Well, you see, wire telegraphy
is like a very long cat. You yank his tail in New York and he
meows in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? Now, radio is
exactly the same, except that there is no cat.”
-Attributed to Albert Einstein, but I ripped it from the latest Splatter .PDF March 2025 issue.

Regarding my previous comments about HF Underground's bot, fanbot, being stuck in the 49 meter band then suggesting that the 25 meter band should have something on it, well, for those of you who are just discovering this medium, RN da Amazonia should provide good music listening right about now (1630 UTC, 7:30pm Central). Prior to this specified time I heard them play the classic Sergio Mendes "Mas Que Nada".

Reception conditions change over the course of the day, subject to daylight/darkness patterns, but if you're looking for a good place to start, here ya go. Shortwave radio is a great place to find pirates, such as what Radio Free Trumpistan might be someday.

Pirate radio

V-Sky Radio from "The Voice of the Sky" on 6975 USB - station ID at 0104Z.

ID also at HF Underground, and generally people there publish a set list

signal good into "KiwiSDR Southeast Michigan" (aka misdr) but my home OpenWebRX+ / Airspy HF+ / indoor Youloop has no signal at all just noise so I think I'll need to fix the attic antenna placement there until I hear it.

aka "43 meter band"

Listening to Ball Smacker Radio on 6960 AM via the Pemberton Farms KiwiSDR. My home SDR is super noisy on this frequency, but this signal into a "1m amplified loop Wellbrook/Wellgood" is S9+ with very little noise.

"I Can't Tell You Why" by The Eagles now playing, followed by "Why Do Fools Fall In Love".
