When Ed and Claire were on the run, and Ed was trying to calm Claire down, that scene where Ed was trying to get Claire to relax and breathe, I was picturing Peter Simon as Ed for that scene.
Peter Simon always played so wonderfully off Susan Pratt.

When Claire was pregnant with Michelle, and then when Ed and Maureen were fighting Clare for custody of Michelle, I had wished that Peter Simon could have played Ed during that time. There were just so many scenes during that time that I could envision Peter’s Ed interacting with the key players.

I love when Maureen and Fletcher call to check up on Ed and Clare. The way Fletcher talks to a pregnant Claire, makes me wish in that moment that Clare could have been pregnant with Fletcher’s child, and not Ed’s.
Oh, if only Fletcher and Clare could have had a child together, maybe their story could have been different.

Claire has always struck me as wanting to be in control. Being a doctor, she is good in a medical crisis. I do like though when we see Claire’s vulnerable side, especially with Fletcher. That moment when Ed and Claire run away together to try to clear their names against Charlotte Wheaton, Claire’s vulnerabilities are on full display, and all she wants is Fletcher.

That moment when Maureen tells Lillian the circumstances that led Claire and Ed to sleep together. Maureen is so matter of fact about the explanation, yet you can hear the sadness and hurt in her voice as well. There was no passion. There was no betrayal. There was just this incredible overwhelming grief, where Ed and Claire just had each other.

I’m going to need Robansuefarm to do a link round up of The Story of Manny. I know the story isn’t finished yet, but I’d like to go back and read the story from beginning to where we are now. The story parts have span over such a long period of time though, that it Mae’s it hard to go back on the blog to find the very first chapter. Hopefully we’ll get a link round up of all of the parts of the story once it is finished.

That moment when Ed and Maureen are begging Claire to allow them to have custody of Michelle. The love that Maureen has for Michelle in her voice is both heartbreaking and loving at the same time. They’re giving Claire all the best options for her to remain in Michelle’s life, but Claire can’t see that. She is only seeing the hatred of it all, not seeing how Ed and Maureen have Michelle’s best interest.

It’s one of my favorite Locher Room episodes,and one of the very few that is not been released as a podcast. I’d love to see it released as a podcast. Would also love to see Rachel Miner’s first episode also be released as a podcast.
