Well it took a few days, and our groundhog was happy to munch on our garden instead of the smelly paste and delicious apples in the humane traps set out. But today, we nabbed him. He's now being humanely relocated - we were told (yes we know some people say it's not easy to relocate them - we hired the most reputable firm we could find) and now we have to fill in his holes so no other groundhog things ooooh. Journée Gavarnie. J’ai d’abord entamé l’ascension au col des Tentes. Avec la station de ski à partir 1800m qui bousille bien le paysage mais offre de belles routes neuves et larges. Arrivé à 2000m, la pluie dans les nuages commence et le risque de verglas m’a fait faire demitour si proche des 2100m du col. Timid but deeply intrigued by the tasty dandelion in my hand.
Had a rare backyard visitor recently morning. It didn't stay long after it spotted me hiding next to a bush to get the photo lol!
The groundhog also known as a woodchuck is the largest member of the squirrel family. We see it once or twice a year in the backyard.
Our visitor from yesterday! I didn't approach them too much, they kept trying to get through the fence, but couldn't fit. Poor lil' fur ball
Yesterday it felt as cold as winter.
