Yesterday we had another Grim Dark Future Firefight 2v2 (Tyranids and Space Marines against Imps and Blood Angels). This time we played this push-forward scenario, and it was a lot of fun. The objective markers are worth more the farther they are from your deployment zone. The score was 10-11 for Imps and Blood Angels. It was exciting the whole time.

Ich bin ein ausgesprochen schlechter Miniaturen-Bemaler. Ich bin nie über "Grundieren, 2-3 Hauptfarben, dann mit Quickshade abtuschen, fertig" hinausgekommen. Mal was trocken bürsten ist schon das höchste der Gefühle.

Jetzt hab ich aber einen Satz 3D gedruckte #Orcs hier stehen, die ich unbedingt im #GrimdarkFuture #tabletop spielen will, aber die ich nicht versauen will... Also, zusammennehmen, Konzentration und ruhige Hand!

I've played some games since grumbling about my dissatisfaction with #WH40K, and found the solution is simply to play with less points. Same size board as 2k, but I'm only playing 1k.

#GrimdarkFuture does scratch the "I just want to roll dice and kill enemy models" itch most of the time. But I really do enjoy the "flavour" of Tyranids so much that, I don't think any other game can capture that feeling like #40k can.

For now, anyway, I'm satisfied.
