Heather EvansGood morning tooters. Been blearily awake & up since 5.30am & it was a very chilly morning. It’s finally up above zero, just but we are heading to a sunny 15c. There is dirty morning fog around the hills, but blue sky above us & it looks quite odd. It will burn off. I had a night of disturbing dreams that I don’t really remember but which could well be a good thing & my back is a little sore today. Probably overdid the housework yesterday, but it’s mostly good & the ache will go soon enough. Planning a 6km walk around the river today as soon as I’m dressed, then into town on the way home. I need a 7th birthday card for my granddaughter & a couple of things from the grocery store. That will be it for my day for the most part. Taking said card & a small present down to my granddaughter when she gets home from school later this afternoon. Heather EvansGood morning tooters. It’s all grey & overcast again today but no rain forecast. It’s only 5c right now it & will reach a cool 12c. I had a wonderful nights sleep back in my own lovely, comfy bed. I had to get up & organised early though as an electrician was supposed to come between 8am & 11am. So I was just finishing my shower at 7.40am & the doorbell rings 🤷🏼‍♀️. I was shocked, they’re never early! I didn’t answer straight away as I figured he try the other units which he did & none of them answered either! By the time he came back I was dressed & making my breakfast so he could come in & do the job. That took about 3/4hr to complete & he’s now gone to do the other units. Heading out shortly to try to find a birthday gift for my youngest granddaughter who will turn 7 in about a months time. I’m trying to replace a Lamaze teddy that I gave her as a baby which she takes everywhere & is in a very sad state. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 I can find it. It is wonderful for her to bask in the light of youth. My daughter went to the game and sent me pictures. Her generation, a generation removed from us, is grown, and it is their time. Our time in the sun over and we should support and enjoy what the next generation brings. What I say to those of us who desperately try to cling to their youth and stay in the limelight is get a hobby. They sell sports attire, shorts, tee-shirts, sweatshirts, and sweatpants. Hmmm ... I guess they sell men's clothing as well, but the store I was in was filled with young ladies - I was in there with my wife and granddaughter. You can easily spend over $100 for a hoodie sweatshirt. My point is, you ain't getting out of there on the cheap. 😂 But my granddaughter is worth it, she is heavily into sports, in fact she plays on her college women's basketball team. She also played tennis and volleyball in high school.
