We were doing a bit of #GordonLightfoot on guitar this evening, and realized it must be just over two years since we lost him!
His early songbook is what I remember as a little kid - my mom was a huge fan. Singing now I can remember how the words were often cryptic adult situations lol.
Turns out most of his songs were I'm broke, drunk and picking up chicks or getting dumped by chicks for picking up other chicks. The others are "hey, here's a bit of Canadian history!"
Fun stuff. Classics!
