OK, step one of many. A gopher server. Kind of.
Done partly as a test of Swift on the server... That's better than it used to be, still not amazing, but hey, with a few tweaks it runs, & that's a start. Might write another, or fix up this one. (I didn't write it & it's a few years old, which is always interesting in Swift.)
Oh yeah, & come up with content.

Nope but I plan to try it at one point. I have tried #gopher and I've got a #gopherhole somewhere. It hasn't been updated in ages. But you know, I like trying unconventional things and approaches.

From what I can tell, no one has posted a photo of a #gopher yet on the Fediverse (correct me if I'm wrong). So here's two.
These two gophers are in the genus Geomys, family Geomyidae. Often seen as just a destructive pest, they serve important ecological roles as fossorial mammals. And because they occur in isolated populations, they make for an interesting study organism for evolution.

El navegador #Lagrange para los protocolos #gemini y #gopher está en los repositorios oficiales de la distro y se integra perfecto con el escritorio, no es necesario descargar tipografías adicionales porque toma las del sistema, tampoco es necesario hacer ningún malabar para que las URL de dichos protocolos sean pulsables en Firefox y abiertas en Lagrange, a diferencia de lo que ocurría con Ubuntu y derivadas.

I could create and manage one, but I'm lazy to actually do the curation of links and feeds to do it.
I'm wondering whether I should set up a #GopherHole on my server (basically make my website reachable through the #gopher protocol).
