AP News · World Video Game Hall of Fame inducts Defender, Tamagotchi, GoldenEye 007 and QuakeThe World Video Game Hall of Fame has four new inductees. The Class of 2025 was enshrined Thursday in recognition of how they challenged players and changed the industry. The honorees are Defender, Tamagotchi, GoldenEye 007 and Quake. The Hall of Fame inside the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York, looks for video games that have exhibited staying power and influenced the video game industry or pop culture. Anyone can nominate a video game for the hall. Museum staff name 12 finalists each year and solicit votes from experts and fans before announcing the winners.
