Norrsken<p>📚 Ich habe mir noch den zweiten Band von <a href="https://mstdn.animexx.de/tags/Gokurakugai" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Gokurakugai</span></a> geholt.</p><p>Das Rosa vom Einband passt zum Gold diesmal nicht ganz so gut, aber ändert nichts am Inhalt. 😆<br>Der Fall vom letzten Mal klärt sich nicht so wirklich auf. Er verläuft sich eher. Für den Lesenden aber mit Versprechen darauf, dass da noch mal etwas zu kommt.<br>Ich hoffe allerdings, dass wird mit dem aktuellen Fall nicht noch mal gemacht? Norrsken<p>📚 Hatte länger überlegt, ob ich <a href="https://mstdn.animexx.de/tags/Gokurakugai" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Gokurakugai</span></a> lese und habe mir nun Band 1 geholt.</p><p>Das goldfolierte Cover ist sehr schick und die Zeichnungen allgemein sind clean und ausdrucksstark.<br>Die Figuren wirken alle sympathisch und der Weltenbau interessant. Jitsch<p>When there is an anime or manga that is extremely popular but which I just find okay (or even bad) I usually kind of understand why it might appeal to others.</p><p>But to be honest I really don’t get why people love <a href="https://urusai.social/tags/Gokurakugai" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Gokurakugai</span></a>. It seems full of tropes that I’ve seen and I have a really hard time remembering the main characters because they don’t come across as that special to me. I also didn’t quite see the story - though I read it quite far (I decided to drop it less than 2 months ago). It kept feeling too incoherent to be called plot-driven but also not really episodic.</p><p>I’ve seen people mention the art style but if that’s all it shouldn’t be all that hyped. </p><p>So I’m honestly curious. What do people like about this manga?</p>

ChurchHatesTucker ☑<p>"Gokurakugai" by Yuto Sano</p><p>Ms. Tao and Alma work as troubleshooters in the Gokuraku district, but their real goal is to find and destroy Maga (cronenbergian creatures created from corpses by demons.) Alma is the red oni of the pair—literally since he's a redheaded (half) maga—while Ms. Tao is the reserved, very human, blue oni.</p><p>You'll come for the art, which is very realistic and often exceptionally detailed. (The action scene in the third chapter is nearly the opposite, though. I'd have thought it was a sign they were tight on time if this wasn't a monthly manga.)
