It used to run on a disused Macbook Pro running Fedora Server, under our TV at home, but since […]</p> <p><a href="https://journal.bsd.cafe/2025/07/22/a-self-hosted-bsd-native-gemini-protocol-server-stack/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">journal.bsd.cafe/2025/07/22/a-</span><span class="invisible">self-hosted-bsd-native-gemini-protocol-server-stack/</span></a></p>

Fellow computer nerds! I have this tiny computer I want to turn into a server in the future, but it can't hold enough drives for a local server with storage, so I'm thinking some kind of internet facing server with maybe a #homepage or #GeminiProtocol, but what other neat things can one do with a small internet facing #server? Personal use or public, pour any ideas you have.
I'd be going the OpenSuse MicroOS route with containers.
#IT

Now I have half a mind to create a minimal fediverse server implementation with a Gemini protocol frontend. Good thing I've got a migraine, otherwise I would've started working on it as well.

I just think such a thing should exist. Who knows, if that sabbatical ever becomes a reality...

gemini://moribundo.flounder.on

En HTTP:

portal.mozz.us/gemini/moribund
