Unfortunately, for a week now, I have been suffering from inflammation of the kidneys and digestive system due to drinking contaminated water and eating canned food, a result of the Israeli blockade on Gaza and the prevention of the entry of clean water and basic food supplies. #freegazanow | #StandWithGaza | #GazaUnderAttack | #SavePalestine | #EndTheOccupation

I’ve been hesitant to “take sides” regarding the civil war in Gaza. I’m Canadian and have zero say in the matter. Thus, I feel I cannot judge one side nor the other (tho I will judge tRump and his posse).
Wanting to learn the history of this civil war, I began reading.

I am open to hear others’ thought, but so far this has been my take-away

“Is Palestine oldest or Israel?
Taking stock. By more than 1,000 years, “Israel” predates “Palestine.” The land then became home primarily to an Arab population, again for more than a millennium. Both Jews and Arabs thus have a legitimate claim to the land. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has seen myriad wrongs and brutalities on both sides.” - Marguerite Newman, NCESC Geographic FAQ

From the outset, the Trump plan for rebuilding Gaza faced fierce resistance over the relocation of its Palestinian residents. A plan that now has broad Arab world backing avoids that, and goes further, setting its sights on regional peace. Still, it faces hurdles. #Gaza #GazaWar #Israel #Hamas
