werden gern als Zierpflanzen kultiviert, man begegnet ihnen häufig in Parks und Gärten. Im Sommer sind sie ein echter Insektenmagnet, im Winter dienen ihre Samen Vögeln als Nahrung.

Five years ago, this tiny tree appeared in a pot in my garden, presumably planted by the squirrels that used to come in. This little oak tree is now around three feet tall, and has a friend too, of a similar size. Can't wait to see it grow and grow!
